Mohammed T. Ansari
Mohammed is a clinical research methodologist with expertise in Evidence-based Medicine methods and meta-research. As an Adjunct Professor, he is also affiliated with the School of Epidemiology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, the University of Ottawa.
Mohammed has 10+ years of experience in meta-research, teaching and meta-research methods development. He is also involved in clinical practice guideline development projects. Mohammed is a member of the GRADE working group, has worked on Cochrane Methods projects (MECIR standards and ROBINS-I tool) and research methods guide for the US Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Mohammed has previously served as Associate Director for two large Evidence-based Practice Centre contracts as well as Associate Editor for AHRQ’s Evidence-based Practice Center program, peer reviewed for government funding agencies in Canada, US, UK and Germany and participated in various advisory panels. Mohammed holds Master in Clinical Trials Research Methodology and Master of Philosophy (clinical trials) degrees. He previously trained in Internal Medicine and also completed a two year Fellowship program in systematic review methodology.
