Margueritte Mabry White , MD
Margueritte is a physician, medical writer and editor. She has edited and aided in the publication of numerous Cochrane Systematic Reviews covering a wide range of topics and is a graduate of the Evidence-Based Clinical Practice Workshops offered at McMaster’s University in Ontario, Canada. She had a long career in academic medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and was also involved in research at a Yale University, School of Medicine, Department of Cardiology.
Margueritte received her medical degree in the U.S. from Temple University, School of Medicine, Philadelphia, completed her residency training at Mount Sinai, School of Medicine in New York and her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Cardiovascular Pulmonary Research at the University of Colorado, in Denver, Colorado. She also pursued graduate training in molecular biology at the same institution. Margueritte served on the faculty in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center where she carried out laboratory-based research on hypoxia and vascular reactivity with grant support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. She is the author of several scientific publications in top peer-reviewed journals such as the American Journal of Physiology and Endocrine Reviews, has written numerous health-related articles for patients, physicians and educators, published a book and edited over 300 scientific articles that have been submitted to peer-reviewed scientific journals.
